Riding For A Cure
After losing his wife, Estelle, to ALS (more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease) David Pizarro is taking action. To promote ALS awareness and raise money for research, Pizarro took a long bike ride on Thursday from his home in the Rockaways to 58 Street and Broadway in Manhattan. Sporting a t-shirt with a picture of himself and his wife, Pizarro rode to tell his wife's story. Estelle recently died from the disease only two weeks after being diagnosed. There is no cure for ALS and that it can strike anyone. Pictured is David Pizarro wearing t-shirt, ready to embark on his journey.
