A 1920's advertisement for the "economical" Elgin five-passenger sedan.

When yours truly discovered this automobile ad from the 1920's, I immediately went into "Sticker Shock!"

With the mileage given, I wonder how many would be sold in 2007?

IIf this auto had been left to evolve and improve, especially the fuel efficiency engine, what would the mileage be in 2007?

Attention all antique car buffs and historians out there in Waveland!

Can you furnish us with a history of this particular vehicle, and especially what happened to it?

Mr. A.M. Frankel, the dealer listed on the advertisement, also had a drugstore on the corner of Beach 116 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, which for a short period of more than a year, also served as the Rockaway Park Post Office.
