Kelly Says 'Thanks' To Parks And Recreation

Mary Dever Kelly (pictured) is proud of Jill Weber's efforts to beautify Shore Front Parkway.
The Rockaway Park Homeowners and Residents Association has been working very closely to beautify the community with officials from the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.

Thanks to the horticultural background of the agency's Rockaway administrator, Jill Weber, a beautiful flower bed has been planted with a colorful sign welcoming everyone to Rockaway Beach on Beach 108 Street and Shore Front Parkway.

The Association is very happy that the official opening of the beaches will be at different sites in future years, recognizing individual neighborhoods.

A future project will see the installment of a ramp on the boardwalk at Beach 104 Street for summer 2008.

The Rockaway Park Homeowners and Residents Association will also continue to work for flexible lifeguard hours for residents, who return to their beachfront community after 6 p.m., when beaches are closed.
