PS 225 Students Host Arts Festival

Seventh and eighth grade students from Mrs. Mangano's class worked with art teacher Ms. Palermo to create a mural for the Very Special Arts Festival held at St. John's University on May 22. The students worked very hard for over a month to paint an undersea masterpiece, a school officials says. Their work will be on display at the Queens Museum of Art in the fall. The artists who took such great direction from Ms. Palermo were: Tanasha Battle, Jamal Davis, Shawn Dowe, Mwai France, Donovan Gordon and Kimberly Johnson. Principal Matthew Melchiorre and Assistant Principal Nicole Kelly with some of the artists.
