Erin On The Rox
By Erin Baumann

On May 12 at Saint Genevieve's Church the class taught by Mary Beth Cook made their First Holy Communion. This year's class includes Casey Colleran, Mary Conroy, Wally Joe Cook, Brian Feimer, Amanda Gresser, Paulina Kenny, Thomas McEnroe, Thomas Reid, William Reid, and Emily Wells. After the mass everyone gathered in the garden for pictures with Father Jack and their families.

On June 2, the 2nd Annual Kutting for a Kause will take place once again at the Irish Circle beginning at 3 p.m. The event is being run by Tracy Rutter and will benefit Locks of Love and the Saint Baldrick's Foundation.

The bands that will be performing are The Square Rooters, Head Over Heels, Wine with Sue and Whole in One. Please come out to support both organizations at the all day event.

On Saturday, May 19, Jeanine Stathis and I hosted a party at the Bozo's to raise money for both of our teams that participate in the Rockaway Relay for Life. A Big Thank You to the Bozo's especially Richie Duemig and Timmy Reid, The Blarney, Fast Break, The Sugar Shack, DJ Moe, The Hair Den and all those who attended the event that night. We really appreciated your support!

This year's Relay for Life is June 9 and 10 at Beach Channel High School. Please come out that night and show your support if you can.

The official start of the summer is Memorial Day weekend, but the start of Men's Softball on June 3 is the Roxbury start of summer. Let's see who wins the 2007 Cup at the end of the season.

Happy Birthday Wishes to Will Bosch ~ May 11, Eileen Baumann ~ May 17, Megan Galvin ~ May 19, Gene Neibel ~ May 21, Vincent Lehner ~ May 25, Bobby Willis ~ May 26, and Kathleen Baumann ~ May 31.

Take Care,
