We've Got The Where And Some Of The Who
Last week we asked in these pages where this old photo was taken and who the lifeguards in the picture might be. We also asked if anybody knows what the letters "BPQ" stand for. Dr. Richard Boggiano called to say that the picture was taken at the lifeguard shack on the beach on Beach 102 Street in Rockaway Park. The letters on the lifeguard's shirts stand for "Borough President Queens," he says and the doctor knows best. As for the people, the young man with blonde hair at the top right of the photo is Dick Randall. The third man down from the top is George O'Connor. Can you help us with any other names?
