Tears And Remembrances At AA 587 Memorial

Mother's Day drew dozens of family members to the memorial dedicated last year to those who died when American Airlines Flight 587 crashed into Belle Harbor, killing all 260 people on the plane and five Rockaway residents on the ground. Many of those who came to remember mothers, grandmothers, daughters and sisters brought flowers which were deposited in the irregular holes left in the stone wall that is inscribed with all the names of those who died that November day.
