SJEH Trains For Decontamination

The staff at St. John's Episcopal Hospital recently trained in decontamination techniques used in the event of bio-chemical disasters. Taught by 1199 SEIU facilitator Steve Schrag and St. John's staffers Mary Moorer, Environmental Services, and Vretta Owens, Admitting, the two-day training course covered the use of personal protective equipment and installation of the decontamination tent. Included in the training were staff from Imaging, Security, Engineering, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, Housekeeping, Nursing and Ambulatory Care and covered all shifts.
