VNS Prep's History's Mysteries Crowns 3 Champs

Chris Matienzo, Adam Eury, Applebee's manager, Greg Carter, program facilitator, Monea Brown, Angel Zetina and Carolyn Leigh-Carter, teacher.
The students at VNS (Visiting Nurse Services) Prep continue to learn history in a unique and rewarding way. The History's Mysteries Challenge, facilitated by Greg Carter, president of the Rockaway Sports Association, ended the second round for 2006-2007 with three more winners.

Chris Matienzo placed first, Monea Brown captured second place and Angel Zetina received third place in the competition. Adam Eury, manager of Five Towns' Applebee's Restaurant donated free meals to the champions.

The weekly educational workshops at the innovative high school continue with students enthusiastically learning about American and world history, geography, government, and more by participating in fun-filled competitions.

VNS Prep is a New York City Department of Education alternative high school located in the Visiting Nurse Service Early Head Start Center in Rockaway Beach.
