A Boy Scout Tradition Continues

Thomas Lucev, with older brother Emil, crosses over to become a Boy Scout in Troop #109. In the background is his father, Emil Robert Lucev.
At a recent Boy Scouts of America Bridge ceremony on Long Island, Thomas Michael Lucev crossed over the symbolic bridge from his Webelos Cub Scout Troop into his new Boy Scout Troop #109 in Suffolk County.

Lucev was initiated and welcomed to the troop by his older brother, Emil Robert Lucev III, who is well on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout.

Also present at the ceremony was Thomas' father, Assistant Scoutmaster Emil Robert Lucev; mom, Angela; and grandfather, Emily Lucev Sr., who is The Wave's historian.

Lucev Sr. is also the former Cubmaster for Pack #47 at St. Rose of Lima Church.
