Click Here for More Information Pepper Steppers Compete In State Double-Dutch Championship The speedy Stan's Pepper Steppers, representing the Sorrentino Recreational Center, will compete at the American Double Dutch League City/ State Double-Dutch Championship. The event will be held on Saturday, May 5 at IS 219 (Charles Drew School) in the Bronx. The first place winner in the event will be invited to represent New York State in the World Invitational championships held at University Center in Sumter, South Carolina from June 14 to June 16. Sorrentino Center Soccer The Sorrentino Vikings, coached by Ray Desmarets, placed second overall in the Parks and Recreation City-Wide Indoor Soccer Tournament at the Al Smith Recreation Center in Manhattan. Staten Island defeated Sorrentino Center last weekend in the title game. The Vikings qualified for the city tournament by defeating Arrow Recreation Center of Long Island City, 4-1, in the Queens Championship on April 2 at Lost Battalion Hall. Sorrentino outlasted six Queens Parks and Recreation Centers to qualify for the city tournament. Sorrentino Baseball Season The Sorrentino Recreational Center 2007 Little League Baseball season sign-up began March 16 for boys and girls 12 and under division and 13 to 15 years old co-ed division.
