Wound, Diabetes Specialist To Speak At SJEH

Preventing foot problems for people with diabetes is a top healthcare priority. Wound care nurse specialist Pam Reilly, RN, CWOCN, will discuss diabetic foot care on Monday, April 30 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in the boardroom, located at 327 Beach 19 Street in Far Rockaway.

Reilly's talk will include recognizing risk factors, causes and ways to protect against foot problems. She will also give pointers on working with a physician, nurse or aide and the symptoms these professionals should look out for.

While providing discussions about living with diabetes, the monthly Diabetes Education Program at St. John's also offers a forum where questions and comments are welcome.

For more information, contact the Diabetes Education Program at 718-869-7116.
