Aviator Sports, Long Island Lizards Host Lacrosse Clinic

Aviator Sports Complex and the Long Island Lizards are teaming up to promote youth lacrosse in the area with the first in a series of clinics and other activities, aimed at encouraging participation in this fast-growing sport.

The Long Island Lizards, a professional team who currently plays in Major League Lacrosse, will be giving a free youth lacrosse clinic this Saturday starting at 12 p.m. The clinic is free to the public and kids from ages 5 to 18 are welcome to learn the game.

Aviator Sports will open the field at 12 p.m. and the clinic, which will begin at 12:30 p.m., will be conducted rain or shine.

Hosted by Aviator Sports and Recreation, Brooklyn's newest, premier sports facility, the event will offer participants first-hand lacrosse tips from the region's top lacrosse players and coaches.

Aviator Sports Complex is located at Floyd Bennett Field on Flatbush Avenue, just north of the Marine Parkway Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge. To arrive via public transportation, take the MTA Q35 bus.
