for larger version       Far Rock Location For Youth Employment Applications Summer Youth Employment Program applications can be picked up or dropped off Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation's (RDRC) authorized Far Rockaway location at 1920 Mott Avenue. The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a seven-week program administered by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development that operates from July 2, 2007 to August 18, 2007. Participants can work up to 25 hours per week while earning $7.15 per hour at worksites created by the RDRC. Under this program, the SYEP participants can earn valuable work experience at government agencies, hospitals, summer camps, Beacon Programs, nonprofits, small businesses, law firms and more. For youth applying online at www. nyc.gov/dycd , be advised to select the authorized intake site. It is necessary to print the completed application and bring in the application to the site selected online to complete the process. The deadline for complete application submissions is May 18, 2007. RDRC provides ongoing site supervision of all participants as they gain experience .
