Freshman State Senator Shirley L. Huntley (10th District) recently appeared on the popular live call-in public affairs show "Democracy In Crisis" broadcast on QPTV's Channel 34.

Senator Huntley received many calls from voters, community and religious leaders, including elected officials such as Assemblyman Bill Scarborough, City Councilman James Sanders Jr., Reverend Charles Norris and others. They all congratulated her on her successful grassroots door-to-door campaign last fall to defeat long term incumbent Ada Smith.

"Democracy In Crisis" is celebrating eight award-winning years on the air, with hosts and call-in viewers talking to prominent guests from political, civic, news media and business spheres.
