Daffodils Bloom To Honor Those Lost

The ladies of The Belle Harbor Garden Club and The Shore Garden Club are reminding residents of the symbolism behind the thousands of daffodils now blooming in the neighborhood. The daffodils were planted in the fall of 2001 and every year since by the garden clubs and community members to pay tribute to those lost on September 11, 2001. Each daffodil planted symbolizes a prayer for the victims and their loved ones. The ladies hope that the beauty of the daffodils brings comfort to all during the spring.
