Rotary Hosts Exchange Team From Mexico

Members of Rotary District 7250, including the Rockaway Rotary Club, are presently hosting five members of a group study exchange team from Rotary District 4100 in Baja California, Mexico.

Rotarian Rabbi Melvin May escorted the team members on a tour of the 100 Precinct in Rockaway Beach on Wednesday, and Captain Charles Neacy, Community Affairs Officer Lou Brust and Police Officer Joseph Roberts answered their questions and showed them around the stationhouse.

On Wednesday evening, members of the Rockaway Rotary hosted the foreign visitors at a dinner/meeting at Snug Harbour restaurant. Rotarians and the exchange team members from Mexico chatted up one another and shared gifts. Group Study Exchange Chairman John Howley and Arthur Vanterpool, District Governor of District 7250, attended the event along with Andrew Chan, a member of the District 7250 team, which includes Wave Associate Editor Brian Magoolaghan, that will head off to Baja in May.
