Click Here for More Information Duddy Aims For MSG Knockout At "Erin Go Brawl" There have been many battles in the boxing career of John Duddy but his middleweight fight against Anthony Bonsante tonight will be another early milestone for the Northern Ireland born fighter. Because of his popularity and his exciting pugilistic ways, Duddy will once again be the main event of the "Erin Go Brawl" at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden. The fight can be seen on pay-per-view starting at 9 p.m. on In Demand PPV and on Direct TV and Dish Networks. The price is $24.95 as the boxing card will have a co-feature as middleweight Giovanni "El Chico Malo" Lorenzowith a undefeated record of 22-0, takes on Robert "The Doctor" Kamya (15-6). "Irish" Andy Lee, the 2004 Ireland Olympian will take on Carl Daniels in a 6 round middleweight bout and Maureen "The Real Million Dollar Baby" Shea and James Clancy will be on the undercard. Duddy, has soldout the Theatre at Madison Square Garden for the third time in a row. The Irish Ropes boxer, who is currently the IBA and WBC Continental Americas Middleweight Champions, will be aiming for his 19th victory in 19 bouts. The 27 year old fighter is popular with the masses for his charisma and ability to entertain the fans in the ring with 15 KOs in his resume. With St. Patrick's Day looming, a festive atmosphere is expected to cheer him on. "I've worked very hard - I'm sure Anthony has too - for this fight. We're both hungry and eager to give fans what they want. I'm looking forward to it," Duddy said in a press conference on Wednesday at Jack Dempsey's Restaurant in Manhattan. After defeating Luis "Yory Boy" Campas last September in the Garden, Duddy learned some valuable lessons in that 12 round decision fight. Prior to the bout, Duddy has used his strength and intensity to outwit and punish most of his opponents. Against Campas, it was a different story. Duddy said he learned to be patient and withstood the punishment he received in the middle rounds as he fended off the challenge from the 35 year old former champion. "I think for me personally, it told me that I can't go on expecting to knock everybody out. I've got to make the fight easier for myself," Duddy said. But first he must take care of business against Bonsante, the 36 year old who starred in the Sylvester Stallone produced television show "The Contender". Bonsante is 29-8 with 17 KOs and the IBA Americas and Minnesota Middleweight Champion.
