Dayton Towers Man Brutally Stabbed
Police Seek Three In Vicious Nighttime Assault
By Howard Schwach

A Dayton Towers West resident was stabbed several times Tuesday night behind one of the complex's buildings, and now police are searching for his attackers as the victim recovers at Jamaica Hospital.

Police identified the man as Danny Dickesheid Jr., 31, a resident of 105-00 Shore Front Parkway, where the brutal attack took place at about 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

Law enforcement sources said the motive for the stabbing is unknown at this point. Others said Dickesheid is a problem tenant with a history of drug use.

Dickesheid was stabbed about five times in the assault and suffered wounds to his back, left arm and left leg, according to police sources.

Residents of the apartment building said the area where the attack occurred was soaked and splattered with blood, even hours after the brutal stabbing. The rear door of the building was sealed off and many of the vehicles parked in the area at the rear of the building were dusted for fingerprints.

Police say that they are looking for three men: a young black man and two white men who are believed to be in their 30s.

Detectives from the 100 Precinct Detective Squad are asking anyone with information to call 718-318-4221.
