The Music Beat
Being that they live in Chicago, having the chance to see them on Long Island was really exciting for me. The last time I saw Kill Hannah was a few years ago at a festival called Skate and Surf. Kill Hannah opened for bands It Dies Today and Papa Roach, so they played first. Their six-song set list, which felt way too short for any Kill Hannah fan, started with a song called "Believer." Mat Devine (Lead Vocals) jumped around the stage, belting out the lyrics. It was mesmerizing. The next song was called "Lips Like Morphine." Just recently Kill Hannah made a video for this song which has aired on music channels such as Fuse and MTV2. Their third song was "Race The Dream" and is one of my favorite songs. Devine jumped on top of the drums to grab the ceiling. Their fourth song was "Love You To Death" which was followed by "The Collapse," another one of Kill Hannah's songs that I truly enjoy. The way this band was performing I couldn't take my eyes away, and I hoped that the final song was never going to come. The band ended their set with "I Wanna Be A Kennedy." Greg Corner (Bass) and Jonathan Radtke (Guitar and Backing Vocals) gave it their all. Devine took off his jacket and continued to awe the crowd. Dan Wiese (Guitar and Backing Vocals) sang with fans and played with heart. I couldn't have been more excited that "I Wanna Be A Kennedy" was their final song. The song is amazing. Overall, this band truly has an original sound and unique lyrics, and their stage performance left you wanting more and never wanting it to end. The show was outstanding and I recommend that if given the chance, you should check these guys out.
