for larger version       Registration Set For Local Girl Scout Group The Girl Scouts of New York is looking for Rockaway girls in grades K-12 to join the organization. To that end, a registration drive will be held on a series of Wednesday evenings to recruit new members. The Wednesday meetings will be held on March 7, March 14 and March 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. All meetings will be held at the NYCHA-Redfern Community Center, at 15-44 Hassock Street in Far Rockaway.
Girls who join the organization can learn leadership skills, develop positive values and contribute to their communities-while making friends and having fun. Parents are invited to attend the drive and learn more about volunteering. Those interested in further information can call the Girl Scouts organization at 212-645-4000.
