RMP Crashes On Way To 'Officer Needs Assistance'Call


An NYPD radio motor patrol (RMP) auto assigned to the 100 Precinct, speeding to an "officer needs assistance" call in the 101 Precinct, slid on a wet, cold surface at Beach 73 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard on Thursday afternoon, crashing into a pole holding traffic signals. The two unidentified police officers were taken to Peninsula Hospital Center, but eyewitnesses said that they were just taken in for observation. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
