Ruth Bittrich, a 93-year Rockaway resident, died December 16.

Bittrich was born in Long Island City. She was an officer and life long member of the First Congregational Church.

She is survived by her friends, Ethel Silberger and Sylvia Lensu.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. All other arrangements were kept private.
