George K.Elsasser Furniture & Office Mover

George K. Elsasser, a former Roxbury resident, died November 28. He was 90.

Elsasser, who was born in Brooklyn, moved to Roxbury in 1965. During his 30-year residency, he was unofficially called "The Mayor of Roxbury."

He was preceded in death his wife, Lillian.

Elsasser is survived by his son, James; daughters, Barbara (Edward) McNamara and Elizabeth (William) Dunn; grandchildren, Suzanne Hoefler, Kristine Martino, William Dunn, Brianne Getty, James and Virginia Elsasser; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Meserole Funeral Home. A funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Inwood. Disposition was by Fresh Pond Crematory in Middle Village, New York.
