Fontbonne Hall Wins Swim Meet Over BKHS

On Sunday, December 2, the Bonnies, of Fontbonne Hall Academy met their long time arch-rivals, the Tigers of Bishop Kearney High School.

The sport was swimming; the venue was a dual meet at the Saint Francis College pool.

From the opening event, the 200yd medley relay, (Michelle Powers, Elaina Anastasio, Justin Macready, and Kristin McMaster) to the final event, the 4 x 100 freestyle relay (Justin Macready, Catherine Muldoon, Natalie D'Alessandro, and Jacklyn Izzo), Bonnie fans had plenty to cheer about, as the Fontbonne Varsity cruised to a 93-72 win.

In all the Bonnies won all three relays, and six out of eight individual events. Highlighting the individual effort was Alexa Morrisey who won the individual 200 yard IM, the 500 yard freestyle as well as a first and second in two relay events.

Next week, the Bonnies look to face off against a strong Saint Saviors team in a meet that could determine the Brooklyn GCHSAA title.
