Corry Inducted Into Manhattan College Hall of Fame


John Corry, a Rockaway resident, was inducted into the Manhattan College Hall of Fame at an athletic award dinner held on December 1. Corry, who was joined by family and friends and his teammates, broke the world record in 1961, when he ran the 2-mile relay at the Milrose Games in Madison Square Garden. Corry ran track at Manhattan for 4 years by winning many medals against tough schools like Dartmouth and Army.
