RAA Artists Celebrated at the White House

On Wednesday, November 28, six artists from the Rockaway Artists Alliance attended an invitational celebration in the East Wing of the White House. The event was hosted by Laura Bush. 2007 is the centennial of the National Park Service and to commemorate the occasion, artists from around the country were asked to decorate 391 ornaments to hang on the White House Christmas Tree. Each ornament represents a national site. Local artists Janet Dever, Martha Killian, Bogda Matuszewski, Chris Preston, Renee Radenberg and Geoff Rawling participated in the event.
