CO Takes On Issue Of Graffiti In 101 Precinct

With the incidence of graffiti increasing in the area, Captain Brian Mc- Mahon, the commander of the 101 Precinct, offered advice at last month's community council meeting to residents who want to report the unsightly marks. "If someone spots graffiti that needs to be cleaned up, they can call Officer Juan Nunez of community affairs," said McMahon. Following the complaint, Nunez or another officer will attempt to get a waiver from the building's owner so that the graffiti can be removed. Nunez will then forward the information and the department will come and clean the area. Reports of graffiti can be called in to 311 or the precinct. Residents can reach Officer Nunez at 718-868-3441.
