Donna Karan Visits Public School/Middle School 183
Fashion designer, Donna Karan, visited PS/MS 183 on Thursday, November 1, as part of her collaboration with the Spirituality for Kids Foundation (SFK). SFK's program translates universal spiritual principles into concrete, practical tools that children can apply to their lives to see instant results.
The program teaches children how to take control of their lives by making wise choices and achieve the benefits of connecting to themselves, their community, and the world.
In March, PS/MS 183 opened its doors to SFK, as a pilot program, which has expanded to 10 classes, due to its success. Renee Peart, Principal, and fourth-grade teacher Tabitha Strauss were interviewed by Karan. As part of her public awareness piece, she also filmed participants during the SFK classes.
The film will be used to educate parents, educators, and schools about SFK.
