Shamrock White Peanuts Team Prove Too Strong Against Wantagh

The Shamrock White Peanuts played host to the Wantagh team Sunday at the BCAC field.

After a tough time last week with Bayville, the Shamrocks made it clear from the first play that Wantagh was in for a rough day.

On their first offensive play, the Shamrocks scored with WR Timothy McCabe catching a perfect pass from QB Aidan Smith and high stepping sixty-yards for a touchdown.

The Shamrock defense, led by Christian and James Agoglia, the defensive lineman James Carson, Robert Baldrian, and Ian Byrne were overpowering and completely shut down a strong Wantagh offense.

The defensive backfield had the Wantagh coaches reaching for the Alleve. On the rare play, they made it past the line, Wantagh was swallowed up by Christian Appel, John Baroudos, John Mullally, Jack Collins, Dillon Ostrander and Phoenix Parker.

The offense added to the scoreboard when Aidan Smith rumbled through the Wantagh defense for the second score.

The Offensive line played outstanding as well; Baldrian, John Mullen, Appel, Bryan Bostwick, Mike McManus, and Johnny Walsh.

Bostwick thrilled the crowd with a bit of fancy foot work, which was rewarded with a third and final touchdown score for the Shamrocks.

Johnny Walsh, McManus, Collins, Carson, Mullally, and Baroudas made some spectacular runs on offense.

Don't forget about the "SHAMROCK BOWL", which will be played on Sunday, November 4 at 2 p.m. at BCAC field. This day will see the Shamrock Green team pitted against the Shamrock White team for bragging rights on the playground. Each team will have a bagpiper to lead them onto the field of battle. There will be awards and snacks afterwards for the teams, a 50/50 contest at halftime, and a special contest to perform the coin toss before the game. Don't miss the excitement! See you on Sunday. Shamrocks Rock!
