PHC Volunteers Honored
Seven volunteers from Peninsula Hospital Center were recently honored at a Volunteer Awards Ceremony sponsored by North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. At the ceremony, North Shore-LIJ marked for distinction more than 100 volunteers from their affiliated hospitals who have served in their respective volunteer departments for anywhere from 5 to 45 years. The recognition luncheon was held at Crest Hollow Country Club and was hosted by Ralph A. Nappi, President of the North Shore-LIJ Health System Foundation, who served as master of ceremonies. Pictured at the luncheon are: Front row (l-r): Arlene Mittler (10 Years+), Joyce Silverman, President of the PHC Volunteer Guild (15 Years +) and Ann Andros (35 Years) who received a special honor for her many years of volunteer commitment. Peninsula Hospital Center volunteers honored by North Shore-LIJ who were unable to attend the ceremony include: Kay Hubbard (10 Years); Elijah Chambers and Martin Pearlstein (5 Years).
