Eagle Scout candidate Steven Carrubba led Troop and Pack 446, with the assistance of the National Park Service at Gateway National Recreation Area, in the repair and restoration of baywalk benches along Bay 1 and Bay 2 beaches at Riis Park on Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day weekend. The volunteers worked diligently for the benefit of their neighbors and the larger community of beachgoers.
