BCAC Shamrock White Peanuts Roll On In Plainview

The BCAC Shamrocks White Peanut Team hosted the visiting Plainview Blue football team last Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Shamrocks were a little light on their personnel with Ian Byrne still on injured reserve. John Baroudos and John Mullen were out sick along John Mullally.

The team put aside the injuries, took the field, and immediately got to work. BCAC totally shut down the high powered offense of Plainview.

Leading this endeavor were the defensive end brother pair of Christian and James Agoglia. Shamrock playes Timothy McCabe, Johnny Walsh, James Carson and Christian Appel spent more time in the Plainview backfield then the opposing running backs did.

In the rare case Plainview got the ball, they were met in force by the formidable Shamrocks' linebacker crew of Mike McManus, Bryan Bostwick, Phoenix Parker and Aiden Smith. Safeties Dillon Ostrander and Jack Collins solidified the rock solid defense.

The Shamrocks offense line, anchored at center by Robert Baldiran along with McCabe, Walsh, McManus, Bostwick and James Agoglia opened up the holes.

The Shamrocks took advantage of this play and Johnny Walsh rumbled down the Plainview sideline for the first touchdown of the game.

At halftime the Shamrocks displayed the pinnacle in sportsmanship. They rationed themselves to only one each of PaPA Walsh's chocolates and instead gave Plainview the other bag.

The second half proved no less exciting as the Shamrocks continued the high level of play.

Timothy McCabe took a hand off from sure handed QB Aidan Smith and stiff armed his way past defenders to pay dirt and a touchdown. With little time left in the game, Aidan Smith broke out around the left end and raced towards the end zone for the touchdown.

The Shamrocks would like to thank all the die hard fans, who week after week, come out and support the team.

To your delight, we are adding one more home game this year. We just have to confirm with the BCAC as to the field availability.

The two Peanut teams will face off in the first ever Shamrock bowl. We hope to showcase this great program to all, so if you know someone who has kids of age, bring them down and let them see what you already know. Shamrocks ROCK!

The next game for the BCAC Shamrock White Peanuts will take place on Sunday, October 14, against Plainview White.
