Breezy Point Par-Tee Golf Coming To An End

The Par Tee golf season is rapidly coming to a close for 2007.

This is just a reminder that our last official game was played on August 16 and the two-day tournament will take place on August 23 and August 30.

NOTE: One score card for the two day tournament, take the best score for each hole over the two days, The end of the year luncheon will be held September 13 at Russos and hope you have made reservations at this point with Bea Sharrock (718 945-3545), cost to our Par Tee golfers is $40.00.

August 9 was a very warm day but did not deter Peg Ansbro from recording a great score of 60. In the front nine for Peg, she was just one over par with two birdies on Hole 10 and Hole 16. Others scoring in the 60's, was: Doris Neimeth-65, Meg Ferrick-67, Nancy Heffernan-68 and Pat Kelly-69. Doris had a chip-in birdie on Hole 10, Meg birdied on Hole 5 and Pat had a chip-in birdie on Hole 1. Kate Hanratty had a chip-in birdie on Hole 17.

Scoring in the 70's was: Carol Bayne and Pat Jordan-76, Eileen Witzgall-77, who had a birdie on hole 11. Terry Ganun, Bea Sharrock and Lil Hanratty each recorded a score of 78 and Helen Mele scored a 79.

Chip-ins was credited to Ann Lane, Mildred Seligman, Pat Gordan, Mary Casstello, Betty Monahan, Marilyn Higgins and Joan Williams. The Par Tee Golf member who was closest to the pin on #1 was Carol Bayne and on Hole 18 was Doris Neimeth. The 50/50 was won by Vera Lynch.
