Erin On The Rox

By Erin Baumann

On July 21, Charlie Weinsheimer celebrated his 80th birthday at St. Genevieve's Hall. His 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, along with the rest of his family and friends, helped him celebrate his special day. The delicious food was catered by Ludwig's and DJ Chrissy contributed the great music, both of which helped to make the party one of this summer's best celebrations.

The 2007 Mayor's Race is off and running with Paul Rodman Vote #1 and his next door neighbor, Mr. Byrnes, Vote #2. Each candidate has been charming residents in order to get their votes. Both candidates have bought drinks for the ladies at the LAMC meeting and have given out hotdogs during the Men's Softball playoff games. The parades for both candidates in this very serious election are on Friday, August 17 for all the kids, young and old, to enjoy. (The isolation of the candidates while the votes are being tallied should be interesting, knowing that they live next door to one another!) So please vote for the man you feel is best to be Mayor of Roxbury 2007. Good Luck to both of you!

Good Luck to the Dawgs and the Corp! The first game starts on Friday, August 17, which decides who gets bragging rights as the 2007 championship team.

Happy Birthday to: Annmarie Willis ~ August 2, Maureen Dengler ~ August 3, Thomas McEnroe ~ August 9, Teresa Naus ~ August 12, Lauren Willis ~ August 13, Vinny Mattera ~ August 16, Billy Hartman Jr. ~ August 18, Sheena Byrnes ~ August 20, and Katie Raymond ~ August 29.
