Something Must Be Done About Mail Delivery

I wonder when the delivery of mail at the Rockaway Beach branch of the USPS will ever get better.

About two or three months ago, I took off early from work and personally went to the Rockaway Beach branch and had a talk with the manager of this branch complaining about all the mail, which is not delivered, but left randomly in the mailroom of 7800 Shore Front Parkway. I was assured that she would talk to the carriers and the matter would be corrected.

I even saw the regular delivery carrier one day in the mailroom and explained what has been happening for the past few months.

Either she was out sick or on vacation, but I was reassured she was back.

I explained that when she was out, the mail delivery was just awful- so much mail just lying around, not being put in the correct boxes. If undeliverable, instead of taking it back to the post office to be returned to the sender it would just sit for days at a time before disappearing.

You cannot use the excuse the carriers are "temporary". That is a very poor excuse. The mail is packaged by apartment numbers even before it leaves the post office.

It was good for a few weeks and now we are back to the same old nonsense!!!
