A17-year-old Richmond Hill youth died at Schneider's Children's Hospital in Floral Park two days after he was pulled from the Rockaway surf by an off-duty lifeguard. Emwinorowanekue O. Ehigie died July 23, 2007. She was 77. Ehigie, a trader, was born on September 6, 1929 in Ogbenson, Nigeria. She was visiting relatives in Rockaway at the time of her death. She was a strong and active woman in the community, according to family members, who said she was a devoted mother, wife, and friend. More...
