The bride came down the aisle and when she reached the altar, the groom was standing there with golf bag and clubs at his side. The bride asked, "What are your golf clubs doing here?" He looked her right in the eye and said, "This isn't going to take all day, is it?"
The best score for last week's action was 63, which was credited to Peg Ansbro. Right behind at 64 were Meg Feerick and Joanna Beck. Abig welcome back is directed to Nancy Heffernan, who scored a 66. Joan McNally and Doris Neimeth both obtained 69.
In the 70's were; Eileen Watson (70), Mary Ellen Hogan (72), Honey Ryan (73), Joan Fallon and Pat Kelly (74), Helen Mele and Eileen Witzgall (75), Marilyn Higgins and Chris Brunner (76), Carol Bayne and Nancy Tutolo (77), Jo Sullivan , Alice Mateos and Marge O'Leary (78), and the trio of Dotty Dunne, Mildred Seligman and Kathleen Joyce had 79. Seven ladies had birdies: Beck, Heffernan, Kelly, Higgins, Watson, McNally and Vera Lynch. And two birdies apiece were credited to Witzgall, Feerick and Ansbro. We had only two chip-ins and the honors belong to Dunne and Tutolo. Closest to the pin on #1 was Kelly and on #18, the winner was Watson. Tutolo won the 50/50.

For members, the price is $40 and non-members pay $50 and the luncheon will be held at Russo's on the Bay on Thursday, September 13. Congratulations to Tess and Tom (Mr. & Mrs. Wonderful) Kearney on their upcoming wedding anniversary. On August 9, they will be married 71 years!!! That is amazing!! And even more amazing is that they still like each other!!! May they continue to be blessed with good health and happiness!
