'Function At The Junction' A Success

The following letter was sent to The Wave to thank those who participated in the 7th Annual "Function at the Junction." Dear Participants,

Thank you for coming out to our 7th annual "Function at the Junction" Rockaway reunion. It was truly a wonderful, spirited, lovely event. I want to thank Councilman James Sanders and his staff for their continuous efforts, support and achievement for the Rockaway people and a successful reunion. I'd like to thank Rachel Williams of Joseph Addabbo Family Health Center, and 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement. Special thanks to Michelle Rouse and Daniel Staton- supervisors of New York City Parks Department- and their staff, who did a superb job setting up the park for this special event and offering their assistance. Lots of love and thanks to my friend, Linda Robinson, and my sister-in-law, Carol Woods, for their help in preparing the food in the park. A special thanks to Gregory Nunn for setting up tents and chairs in the park, and the Candy Divas.

See you next year!
