Dr. Marshall Daniels was presented with a special service award by Vice President Allen B. Corby in recognition of his outstanding achievements in furthering medical/ surgical education and for more than 35 exemplary years of devoted service to Peninsula Hospital Center. Peninsula Hospital Center recently hosted its 2006-2007 graduation ceremony for its residents and interns, at a commencement and breakfast held at The Lawrence Country Club. Dr. Gerald Teplitz, D.O., Director of Medical Education, began the morning festivities with a welcome and introduction of the graduating class, followed by a commencement address by Commissioner Joel A. Miele Sr., P.E., Chairman, Board of Directors. Special Awards were presented to Dr. Sadhana Gupta, who received the Educator's Award; Dr. Marshall Daniels, who received the Extraordinary Faculty Service Award and Dr. Michael Barkin who received the Appreciation Award. The closing address was delivered by Robert V. Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer.
