Breezy Point Par Tee Golf News

In golf, some people tend to get confused with all the numbers, People will shoot a "six," yell "fore" and write "five."

The lady with the best score on July 12 was Doris Neimeth with an amazing 60!!! Eileen Watson was next with a 63. Peg Ansbro had 65. Barbara Caramelli and Meg Feerick tied with 66 and Bunny GaNun and Pam Armour tied with 68. A threesome each scored 71: Alice Mateos, Joan McNally and Honey Ryan. Two tied with 74: Eileen Witzgall and Chris Brunner and the twosome of MaryEllen Hogan and Mary Castellano had 75 and Pat Livingstone and Joan Fallon had 76.

Barbara Caramelli had two birdies and Chris Brunner, Eileen Watson, Eileen Witzgall, and Arlene Crane each had one. Two chip-ins were recorded by Kate Hanratty and one each for Arlene Crane and Joan Fallon. Pat Powers, a member of the Back Nine Group, had a chip-in bird on hole #5. Doris Neimeth, Eileen Witzgall and Pam Armour also had chip-in birds.

The Par Tee gold member who got closest to the pin on #1 was Joan McNally and on #18, the winner was Eileen Watson. Ann Lane won the 50/50.

The GUYS AND DOLLS TOURNAMENT is sold out. MaryEllen Hogan and Sheila Schaberick have been working very hard to ensure everyone has a good time.

Please be at Riis Park at 8 a.m. for coffee/cake and check-in. Play begins promptly at 8:30. Format is a scramble. It is going to be a fun day!!!!
