The Roundtable at PS 215 in Far Rockaway ended the school year with a decision on charities and organizations that should receive the school's financial support. Students raised funds during the school year, collected through the Common Cents "Penny Harvest," and the money was allocated to three charities based on student recommendations: Peninsula Hospital's "Angels by the Bay" pediatric unit, with the hopes the money will be used to purchase books and toys for admitted children; The United Methodist Center of Far Rockaway, to help provide items for the homeless and those in need; and CAPP (Child Abuse Prevention Program), to help underwrite a program for third graders at PS 215

Hofmann receives special thanks from Robert Levine, Chairman of the Board of Peninsula Hospital, during festivities that followed the Peninsula Hospital Annual Meeting, where the Roundtable students presented their check. In addition, the PS 215 choir sang at the meeting.
