'Summer Teen Scene' At Aviator

A "Summer Teen Scene" program on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights started this past Wednesday, July 11 at Aviator Sports and Recreation in Floyd Bennett Field, and will continue through August 25.

The program, designed for seventh to twelfth grade students, will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 10 p.m., with the food court staying open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings. Activities vary nightly and include ultimate Frisbee, dodge ball, hip hop dance classes, rock climbing, skating, foam pit races, extreme trampoline, flag football, soccer and much more. A series of teen nights under the Concorde are also planned, with BBQs, theme nights, karaoke, teen bands, and game nights.

Aviator has created a "pay each night" policy, but teens or their parents may purchase a "10 Pack" that passes along a savings for the events. Registration is every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through the summer from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the complex. An application and waiver must be signed by a parent when a teen registers.
