Clarence Simmons

Laborer

Clarence Simmons, a Rockaway resident for seven years, died June 25.

Simmons, a laborer, was born in Queens on November 4, 1966. Known to many as "Sonny," Simmons had many interests, but his greatest love was working on cars and electronics, his family said.

Simmons was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Simmons Sr. and sister, Pearl Simmons.

He is survived by his mother, Alice Simmons; brother, Kelvin Simmons; twin sister, Florence Simmons; sister, Alicia J. Simmons; aunts, Linda Roberson, Ella Ismeal and Doris Simmons; uncles, Quill Hamilton, Bennie Hamilton and Ted Roberson; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with visitation and a service at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Disposition was at Oxford Hills Crematory in Chester, New York.
