SJEH Graduates Internal Medicine Residents


Graduates of the Internal Medicine Residency Program of St. John's Episcopal Hospital were honored on June 19, with a ceremony and dinner at the Imperial Room in Inwood. Affiliated with State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, the medical residency program graduated 17 physicians. At the program, the residents expressed their joy at completing their training and thankfulness for being part of St. John's Episcopal Hospital. In his remarks, Sheldon Markowitz, MD, Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. John's, thanked the residents for "every patient treated and every family comforted" and reminded them that "medicine was not a trade, but a calling."
