Graffiti Mars Beach 116 Street Scene


Some graffiti vandals, apparently fresh from the Bronx judging by their "tags," took to Beach 116 Street earlier this week, plying their trade on both the Sand Bar Restaurant and the newly renovated lifeguard shack. Pictured, the restaurant was tagged from top to bottom. Police are searching for the vandals.

One local, who said that the shack was part of the Beach 116 Street memorial to those who died on American Airlines Flight 587, thought that the desecration of the shack was scandalous.
