FRHS Class Of '57 Celebrates 50th With Wine,Memories


The Far Rockaway High School Class of 1957 held its 50th reunion at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale, Long Island last Saturday night. Nearly 100 alumni and their spouses showed up for the event, the first reunion held by the class in 25 years. Pictured, some of the alumni, now all in their mid to late 60's, signing in. An alumna looks at a bulletin board displaying menus from local restaurants that no longer exist but were favorite hangouts, such as Cosmo Pacetta's, The State Diner, The Far Rockaway Palace and Ben Masik's (a nightclub in Brooklyn). In addition, there were programs from some of the rock 'n roll concerts hosted by Allan Fried at the old Brooklyn Paramount.
