The Peninsula's Newest Dining Experience

Rockaway's newest dining experience, the Rockaway Lobster House, located at 375 Beach 92 Street (at Beach Channel Drive), will soon be celebrating its seven-month anniversary. The signature dish of the new restaurant is a fresh, whole, Maine lobster pot. Kenny Good, the restaurant's proprietor, promises something for every taste. In addition to raving about the seafood, guests love the refurbished outdoor deck where they can take in the peninsula's amazing sunsets, the Manhattan skyline and the delicious smells coming from the kitchen. Choice tables on the outside deck fill up quickly, especially during the weekend, but somehow, there is always room for a few more tables. Children are welcomed with activity books, crayons, coloring books, video games and sometimes, fishing off the deck. Entering the Rockaway Lobster House through a bamboo-lined boardwalk, customers marvel at the fish and lobster tanks, as well as other nautical floor and ceiling décor. Chances are, you'll be greeted by one of the four couples who own the restaurant: Kenny and Jill Good; Duke and Suellen Foti; Mike and Paulito; Koch or Belly and Terry Wisnieski. "We wanted to create a family-friendly atmosphere where people can enjoy a good meal and get a good taste of Rockaway's grandeur," explained Rockaway native Duke Foti. "Hopefully, people will feel like they are in a seaside town with the best beaches and the friendliest people on earth."
