Beach Channel High School recently hosted its second annual blood drive of the year. Students Eric Lach and Jalique Antoine were the blood drive captains from Mrs. Murray's leadership class. With all of the people that participated in the blood drive, we collected over 74 pints of blood. After each person gave blood they were given refreshments and snacks. Many that wanted to participate in the blood drive were unable to because they had iron deficiency.

Each pint of blood that was given is broken up into five parts which helps save a lot of lives. Many of the people that were able to give blood have donated in the past so the process for them was a little easier because they had blood donor cards.
