RDRC Hosts 'Out of School Time Program'

The Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corporation's Out of School Time Program recently held its' First Annual Recognition Ceremony at Far Rockaway High School. The ceremony included over 75 high school students, faculty and RDRC staff members. The purpose of the OST program is to engage high school youth in after-school programs and activities that enhance their life. The ceremony featured artistic displays, dramatic readings, positive rap lyrics by "Double Take", African and Latin dance performances, a fashion show with dresses provided by "Lavita Jervis", and African percussionists provided by Mr. Monty Edwards and Aboyomi Oronsaye.
